Citibank was the first US financial institution to receive a branch license and the first US bank to open a full branch in Hanoi in 1994, followed by another in Ho Chi Minh City in 1998.

By end of 2009, Citi Vietnam is one of the leading foreign commercial banks in Vietnam with two branches, more than 240 staff, and operates with the biggest Vietnamese alliance bank network which includes over 4300 nationwide online transaction points.

Citi offers a wide range of banking services in Vietnam including Retail Banking, Corporate Banking, Investment Banking and Global Transaction Services, including Trade and Treasury Services, and Securities and Fund Services.

Citi's Institutional Clients Group creates solutions for and provides the broadest possible capital and market access to the issuer and investor clients. In addition, no institution better executes the increasingly complex payment and cash management solutions required in today's global economy.

Global Banking

Global Banking provides comprehensive, tailored, and unique solutions to top corporations, financial institutions, and governments worldwide. Global Banking offers strategic and financial advisory services, including acquisitions, mergers, divestitures, financial restructurings, loans, foreign exchange, as well as the structuring, underwriting, and distribution of equity, debt, and derivative securities.

Global Markets
